Melissa virus crippled computers all across the country, and they caught the guy. But it was reported today, I love this new wrinkle in the case, the guy who created the Melissa virus named a virus after a stripper he met. True story, yeah, which when you think about it, it is really bad news for the stripper because having a virus named after, you really cut some of men for lap dances.
メリッサ・ウイルスが国中のコンピュータに悪さをしたが、犯人は逮捕された。おもしろいことに、このウイルスを作った男はウイルスに知り合いのストリップ嬢の名前を付けていたらしい。でも考えてみれば、このストリップ嬢はとんだ災難だな。ウイルスに自分の名前が使われたら、ラップ・ダンスのご指名がなくなるだろうに。

※ラップ・ダンス（lap dance）。ストリップ嬢が男性のひざの上にまたがって踊るプレー。日本語でどう訳すのだろうか（ひざ踊り？）
 

The producers of Star Trek say that it's gonna be at least three more years before they do another Star Trek movie. No Star Trek movies for a while, so folks during the next three years Trekkies may have to face the final frontier: the Human Interaction.
スター・トレックの製作者は、スター・トレックの次の映画は少なくともむこう3年は製作されないと発表した。しばらく映画は見られないそうだ。ということは、これからの3年間トレッキーは新たなるフロンティア『人間とのおつきあい』に直面するかもしれない。

※トレッキーは熱狂的なスター・トレックファンの総称。アメリカではトレッキー　=　おたく、と考えられている。

Bay Watch is moving production to Hawaii , and as the result, the show announced that its' new name is gonna be Bay Watch Hawaii. That's the new name. True story! which is weird because today Hawaii announced that its new name is Land Of The Humongous Breasts.
TVシリーズ『ベイ・ウォッチ』の舞台がハワイに移動して、名前も新たに『ベイ・ウォッチ・ハワイ』になるらしい。本当のハナシだ。でも、なんか変だ。なにしろ、今日ハワイも新しい名前を『爆裂おっぱい島』と名付けたばかりだからな。

※爆乳水着ギャル＆ムキムキ男がわんさと登場する水難救助隊の物語『ベイ・ウォッチ』。これでハワイの観光客もうなぎ登りか？！

まさにオドロキのコンピュータが発売された。なんでも、このコンピュータはその日ごとの女性の妊娠危険度をはじき出すそうだ。コンピュータは月経の周期や食生活のほか、ミック・ジャガーが女性の街に来ていないかも判断材料にするらしい。

※20歳も年の離れたモデルと不倫して、妊娠させてしまったミック・種馬・ジャガー。ついにコンピュータにもマークされ始めたのか？！

Anthony Hopkins is in the news. Anthony Hopkins is talking about doing a small cameo in the next Mission Impossible movie. Yeah, it's pretty interesting, Hopkins plays a secret agent who's brought in to figure out the plot of the first Mission Impossible movie.
アンソニー・ホプキンスは、映画『ミッション・インポッシブル』の次回作にチョイ役で特別出演すると語った。楽しみだな。どうやら、彼は一番最初の映画『ミッション・インポッシブル』のストーリーを調査する諜報員の役を演じるらしい。

※いろんなバージョンが存在する映画『ミッション・インポッシブル』。次回作では、アンソニーおじさんがその歴史を訪ねます（？）。お楽しみに。

I got the latest news on Calista Flockhart, which is another reason most people tuned in to my show. In a recent interview, I guess a magazine interview that she gave, Calista Flockhart said that her best friend is her dog. That's right, yeah, meanwhile her dog says Calista Flockhart is his favorite bone. .....Oh, that was Wrong.....

Yesterday, Carmen Electra, big surprise, filed for divorce from Dennis Rodman and it's been reported that she is now dating rocker Tommy Lee. Electra said "I broke up with Dennis because he is 6'9" tall, and Tommy Lee is 6 foot tall, and 9 inches.
驚くなかれ、きのうカーマン・エレクトラはデニス・ロッドマンとの離婚を申請した。また、マスコミによると彼女は今ロック・ドラマーのトミー・リーとつきあっているそうだ。エレクトラはこう言ったらしい「デニスと別れたのは、彼身長が206センチなんだけど、トミーったら183センチで、アレが23...」

※実際のコナンのジョークでは、デニスの身長が6'9"（six foot and nine inches）で、トミーが6'（six foot）、その後に間をおいて９インチと言っているため、センチ表記にしてしまうと少し違和感がある。たわ言はさておきアレが23センチとは！！

Apparently, there is an uproaring Washington right now because a beaver has been causing extensive damage to the city's historic trees. Did you know this? A beaver is on the loose in that town. As a result, officials have beefed up security around Al Gore.
新聞によると、ワシントンで1匹のビーバーが歴史的な木々に被害を与えて大騒ぎになっている。ビーバーが野放し状態だそうだ。どうやら、当局者たちは危険防止のためアル・ゴアの周辺警備を強化したらしい。

※堅物で評判のアル・ゴア副大統領。ついに木材扱いされてしまった。

Tax time is coming up and I got to bring this up. According to a brand new tax survey, every year over 86% of adults give some money to charitable organizations, which I think is very nice. Yeah, luckily for New York residents, this year charitable deductions include any money spent on Knicks tickets.
そろそろ確定申告のシーズンだな。税金についての最新の調査によると、毎年86％以上の成人が慈善団体に寄付を行っているそうだ。良い心がけだ。ここでニューヨークの住民に耳よりの情報がある。なんでも、今年からニックスのチケットは寄付金控除の対象となるらしい。

きのう、警察はバイアグラを違法に販売した容疑でニューヨークにある３つの会社をガサ入れした。その最中警官たちはしきりにこう叫んでいたらしい「ソコじゃない！手を挙げろと言ったんだ！」
